What is Umrah and how is it different from Hajj?

Umrah is an act of worship performed by visiting the Kaaba, entering Ihram, performing tawaf and sa'y, without any specific time requirement. Hajj is an obligatory act of worship performed at certain times (in the month of Dhu al-Hijjah). Umrah does not include Arafat foundation like Hajj.

Who can go to Umrah?

Any Muslim who is in good health and can afford it can go to Umrah. Minors must be accompanied by their guardians. Women must have their mahram (husband, father, brother, etc.) with them.

When is Umrah performed?

Umrah can be performed at any time of the year except the Hajj period. Especially Ramadan and school holidays are the most preferred periods for Umrah.

What documents are required to participate in the Umrah tour?

Passport (valid for at least 6 months), biometric passport photo (2), meningitis vaccination card, photocopy of identity card, photocopy of marriage certificate for married couples are required.

Can children or elderly people participate in Umrah?

Yes, children can participate in Umrah with their guardians, and elderly people can also participate in Umrah as long as their health conditions are suitable. Wheelchair service and companion support are offered for the elderly.

Can women go to Umrah alone?

How far are the hotels from Masjid al-Haram and Masjid al-Nabawi?

Our hotels are generally within walking distance. However, during busy periods, accommodation within a 5-10 minute shuttle bus distance may be preferred.
